about
What is Informatics? What is biomedical data science? Medicine is at an inflection point. The scale of data we deal with, how we integrate disparate healthcare-related data, how we analyze it, and who consumes it are central questions to delivering the optimal interventions to the right people at the right time.
I am the first faculty in the Division of Translational Bioinformatics in the Department of Biostatistics & Bioinformatics in the Duke University School of Medicine. I did a PhD in computational genomics, got an MD, and trained in Surgery at Duke. I'm still trying to figure out what I do.
